  52.      For  those  who  register  for  the  latest  full-featured  version  of 
  53.      YourCash,  a  convenient  installation  program  (Install.Exe)  is also

  60.      YourCash  is a financial account "engine".  It can maintain up to 1,000 
  61.      different  accounts,  and  each  account  can  maintain  up  to  10,000 
  62.      transactions.  That's a total capacity of ten million transactions!
  63.      
  64.      There  are  MANY  checking account programs.  Most are obviously geared 
  65.      for  small  businesses, with account coding entries and other business-
  66.      related  procedures  that  most  personal users have little need or use 
  67.      for.   Most  importantly,  none  of  them LOOK like a personal checking 
  68.      account.   I think most people want a program that looks and feels like 
  69.      a checkbook register when they work with it.
  70.      
  71.      So  I wrote YourCash--  a PERSONAL checking account program, if you get 
  72.      my  emphasis.   It  looks  and feels like a PERSONAL checkbook.  Checks 
  73.      look  like  your  paper  checks,  and the register looks just like your 
  74.      paper  register.   It  contains  the information and features you would 
  75.      want to see in a your PERSONAL checkbook.

  77.      But  it  does  a  LOT  more--  like balance your account automatically, 
  78.      reconcile  your  statements automatically, print out the entire account 
  79.      (or  any portion you wish), analyze transactions, search/find sub-lists 
  80.      by  almost  any  parameters  you  want  to  search  with, lets you mark 
  81.      entries  as  "Cleared"  from  the bank, void checks, make modifications 
  82.      with instant updating of all subsequent balances, and on and on...

  84.      YourCash  began  as  *P*C*A* (*P*ersonal *C*hecking *A*ccount) in 1987.  
  85.      In 1991, it was substantially upgraded and re-released as MyMoney.

  87.      In  1994,  it  was once again significantly upgraded and re-released as 
  88.      YourCash.   Because  of  a  radically  different  approach in data file 
  89.      structure  and  maintenance,  files created by previous versions cannot 
  90.      be  converted to this  latest version, which is why I've released it as 
  91.      an  entirely  new  program  with a new name-- but the internal routines 
  92.      are  tried  and  true.   I've never had to spend one second figuring my 
  93.      balance,  or press one calculator button reconciling my statements, and 
  94.      my account has been accurate to the penny all these years.

  96.      YourCash  is  packed  with  program  features  that users want, such as 
  97.      context-sensitive  help  screens,  a  "quick-select"  help  index  that 
  98.      includes  access  to  this  online manual, word-processor capable input 
  99.      boxes,  colorful  pop-up  windows  and  "3-D"  shadowed boxes, "point & 
  100.      shoot"  selection  methods,  program  flow memory, default entries, and 
  101.      many other friendly, intuitive, and powerful features.

  103.      The  version 2.x series represent several major improvements, including 
  104.      an  improved  display  and more intuitive choices.  One big new feature 
  105.      now  offered  by  YourCash: Check printing.  You highlight the check on 
  106.      screen,  position  a  blank  check  in  the  printer,  press a key, and 
  107.      YourCash  will  print  your  check  for  you.   It doesn't get any more 
  108.      convenient than that!

  157.      The  most  important "supporting function" available in YourCash is the 
  158.      On-Line  Help  System,  which  is  always available at the touch of the 
  159.      <F1> key.

  161.      The On-Line Help System includes several powerful features:

  165.           √    If  you press the <F1> key again while in the help screen, an 
  166.                outlined  "Help  Index"  will  pop  up,  providing you with a 
  167.                "quick-select"   point   &  shoot  method  of  selecting  and 
  168.                instantly accessing any section of the program manual.

  171.                reading now.

  174.      abilities,  I  strongly encourage you to start YourCash, press the <F1>

  177.      section of the manual.

  192.      If  you  have a printer, YourCash can print your checks for you quickly 
  193.      and  easily!   First, enter the information in your account, then press 
  194.      the  <F8>  key.   YourCash  will print the information on a blank check 
  195.      that you have positioned in your printer!

  201.      A  sample "YourCash.Lst" file is included in this package.  It contains 
  202.      a  simple  list  of  common  "Payee/Creditor" entries you might make in 
  203.      your   checking  account--   Things  such  as  "Rent",  "Pay  Deposit", 
  204.      "Grocery Store", etc.
  205.      
  206.      At  start-up,  YourCash  looks  for  the  "YourCash.Lst"  file.   If it 
  207.      exists,  YourCash  incorporates  the  contents  of  the  file  into its 
  208.      routines  when  you  add  a transaction to your account.  That is, when 
  209.      you  get  to  the  "Payee" field, a window will pop up with the entries 
  210.      listed for you to quickly select without having to type the entry!

  212.      YourCash  has  a  built-in  editor  that  you  can use to customize the 
  213.      payee/creditor  list  to reflect your typical and common payee/creditor 
  214.      entries.   Enter  an  existing  account, then select "Account Options", 
  215.      and then "Edit the Payee/Creditor List".

  217.      If   YourCash  doesn't  find  "YourCash.Lst"  at  startup,  it  follows 
  218.      alternate program routines that are also very convenient.

  224.      I M P O R T A N T :    YourCash  creates  and  manipulates  data files.  
  225.      These  files  consist  of  a  fielded  random access non-delimited file 
  226.      structure  using  a  non-ASCII standard.  The formatting and storage of 
  227.      the  data  is  performed by YourCash in a special manner.  If you erase 
  228.      or  attempt  to  change  these  data  files  yourself,  you will almost 
  229.      certainly  cause  corruption  of  your  data in a manner that cannot be 
  230.      recovered or fixed.
